Inside the City of Gold

" ... the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass ... " (Revelation 21:18 KJV)

A Peek Inside Heaven:  Revelation 21:21-23 (NASB)

Revelation 21:21-23  Jesus said "I go to prepare a place for you" and "In My Father's House are many mansions."  In Revelation we are given a tiny peek inside the New Jerusalem City; the eternal dwelling of the saints of God.  The streets are made of gold and the gates are made of pearl.  And the Glory of God the Father and the Son of God illuminate the City forever:

21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the City was pure gold, like transparent glass. 
22 I saw no Temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its Temple. 
23 And the City has no need of the Sun or of the Moon to shine on it, for the Glory of God has illumined it, and its Lamp is the Lamb.
